“I believe it is essential to understand the whole person – both physically and emotionally.”

Dr. Burke says that a physical exam tells only part of the story when it comes to a deep understanding her patients. She wants to know their motivation and goals; their reasons for seeking change; and about their lifestyle. She says, “Everything must be factored in so that I can meet each person’s expectations and ultimately make them happier in their own skin.”

“I am proud to be invited to share my perspectives in the most respected industry publications.”

Throughout her training and practice as a plastic surgeon, Dr. Burke has shared her extensive knowledge of plastic surgery through the most prestigious, peer-reviewed journals in the field including Clinics in Plastic Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Aesthetic Surgery Journal and a variety textbooks. She also lectures across the U.S. and as far as Moscow, Russia. Other honors include:

“My life is rewarding inside and outside of my practice.”

Dr. Burke’s greatest joys are her husband, Brady and their two sons, Avery and Oliver born 25 months apart. And, of course, their 60 lb. “baby,” Maverick, a dog they rescued from the Atlanta Humane Society. Dr. Burke is a competitive and dedicated athlete competing in more than 40 marathons (including 13 Boston Marathons) and Triathlons. She is an avid music lover and accomplished violinist (a guest student in the school of Music at the University of Michigan during undergraduate pre-med studies).
