If you are bothered by the appearance of uneven skin tone and texture, small scars, cellulite, or stretch marks, the Med Spa at Renee Burke, M.D. in Barrington, IL is proud to offer carboxy therapy, a nonsurgical solution to help improve the appearance of your skin.
Carboxy therapy is a nonsurgical cosmetic treatment designed to administer CO2 to the deeper layers of skin to help improve skin’s appearance.
Carboxy therapy uses injections into the subcutaneous layers of the skin to infuse carbon dioxide (CO2) into the tissue. The CO2 helps your body send more oxygenated blood to the treatment area and destroys fat cells. This process stimulates circulation and encourages the body’s natural healing process to generate new collagen, resulting in greater skin elasticity and smoother skin.
A small needle is injected into the deep layer of skin, delivering CO2 to the subcutaneous tissue. The CO2 goes to work destroying fat cells and triggering a healing response from your body, which helps skin heal quickly and improve its appearance.
Carboxy therapy injections can be used to treat:
Thanks to the advanced healing stimulated by carboxy injections, you will see improvement in the appearance of the skin on your body.
Carboxy is designed to provide immediate results, increasing blood flow to the treated area. After treatment, there will be some swelling that will subside within a few minutes, and you can return to normal activities immediately. Final results will appear over the course of the next few weeks as your body generates new collagen, smoothing and filling in uneven texture to give you smoother, brighter-looking skin.
We recommend 8 treatments administered every week for 8 weeks for best results.
Patients travel from Arlington Heights, Schaumburg, and surrounding areas to get carboxy treatments at our Barrington practice. Request a consultation to discuss the procedure with Dr. Burke or call our office at (847) 382-4400 to schedule an appointment.
