Good candidates for neck and chin tightening are adults in good health who want to address any of the following concerns:
- Sagging skin under the chin, along the jawline, and on the neck
- A soft sloping contour from the chin to the neck
- Vertical neck banding

Minimally Invasive Neck and Chin Tightening Treatments
Several minimally invasive neck and chin tightening options are available:
PrecisionTX®
Dr. Burke uses PrecisionTx to address mild to moderate skin laxity and excess fat under the chin. She performs this minimally invasive surgical procedure using a local anesthetic. She uses a combination of liposuction and a specialized optic wire to deliver the laser energy under the skin to increase collagen production and melt fat cells under the chin, along the jawline and neck. While there is noticeable improvement right away, treated areas continue to firm and tighten for 3 to 6 months as new collagen forms.

Neck and Chin Tightening Recovery
Recovery after neck and chin tightening varies between patients and with the extent of the treatment as follows:
- Minimally invasive procedures (PrecisionTx): Expect mild swelling and bruising in treated areas. You will need to take it easy for approximately 2 to 3 days and avoid strenuous activities for about 2 weeks to avoid increased swelling.
- Skin excision (neck lift): Expect swelling and bruising in treated areas. Patients typically return to nonstrenuous activities within 5 to 7 days and work in about 10 to 14 days. A neck lift leaves scars around the ears and possibly under the chin. Scars from these procedures are usually not noticeable once they have fully healed.
Regardless of the specifics of the procedure, patients will need to wear a neck and chin compression garment as directed by Dr. Burke.
